Did you know that October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month?  Every year thousands of women, children, and men suffer from domestic violence.  Last year Texas reported the highest number of domestic violence deaths in state history with 158 women killed due to domestic violence; Harris County topped that state list with 34 domestic violence related murders. 

 This month, we will be partnering with Henderson Engineers, Inc,  and the Houston Area Women’s Center for a donation drive.  The shelter is in urgent and ongoing need of new clothing items including yoga pants, t-shirts, sports bras, and socks, as well as feminine pads and diapers.  If you aren’t able to make it to the store for the above items but would still like to contribute, please consider giving a $5 or $10 cash donation that we will use to purchase items in need.  Items can be dropped off at Henderson Engineers, Inc. or Heat Transfer Solutions.  If you need your items to be picked up, please contact Lauren or Rachel at the emails listed below.
