Please join us for the November ASHRAE Chapter Meeting on Thursday, November 18th.

Our guest speaker is Paul Stewart and the topic of the presentation will be Indoor Grow Rooms. He will review photosythesis and plant grwoth, and how that affects load calculations in a grow room. He will also discuss the different types of HVAC equipment that have been utilized in grow rooms and their varying degrees of success. 

Paul Stewart is the Vice President of Sales for Desert Aire LLC. He joined Desert Aire in April 2009 after a 23 year career with Johnson Controls. His experience at JCI in OEM sales and sales management has supported his efforts at Desert Aire. Paul’s responsibilities at Desert Aire include leading the sales effort, promoting the marketing & branding of Desert Aire, and overseeing the service & technical support functions.
Paul is a long term member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, & Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and has served as a member of The Council for the Model Aquatic Health Code
(CMAHC) where he was a member of the Ventilation Committee. He is on the Board of Directors for the Buckner, KY YMCA and has also been an active member of the USA Swimming Facilities “Dream Team”.
Paul has provided technical sessions on Indoor Pool Design, AHRI 920 & Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems, and Indoor Grow Efficient Design to multiple ASHRAE Chapters and was also the technical speaker at the
ASHRAE CRC Region VII in August 2017. More recently, Paul was a guest speaker for the 2020 & 2021 Missouri Cannabis Conventions in St. Louis.
Paul earned a Bachelor’s Degree in General Engineering from the University of Illinois –Champaign/Urbana.
He resides in Louisville, KY with his wife Patty and their dogs Sheamus & Fiona. Paul enjoys running, bicycling, & golfing in his spare time and also enjoys dining out at locally owned restaurants, sampling
craft brewed beers, and sipping Kentucky bourbon.
