DirectionsPlease help ASHRAE Houston Welcome Josh Barnhart from EAB, Jacob Swenson from SSR and Jim Thornton from Jacobs for a Commissioning Roundtable. Topics to be discussed will include:
A general update of Cx requirements as it pertains to the current (Houston) energy code and what is anticipated for future renditions of the IECC.
Certification requirements for Commissioning Authorities (the term continues to morph, but it is essentially the Cx lead or project manager). There are presently four certifying entities, ASHRAE is one of them. To be recognized by the federal government for service on federal projects, the certification programs must be ANSI certified.
Continued uptake of third party Cx by owner organizations, both private and public sector, for new construction or renovations commissioning.
Ensuring all parties understand the scope of work and their responsibilities under the Commissioning tasks
