Come join ASHRAE/YEA for their first event of the fiscal year!  The tour will kick off at 11:30 am starting with lunch and a 15 min presentation (indoors) about the plant.  After that, a 30 min tour guided by the plant’s Senior Project Engineers.  Come eat, network, and learn about one of the largest energy plants in the country!

About:  Thermal Energy Corporation is one of the largest energy plants in the country and is dedicated to serving the Texas Medical Center.  It has over 120,000 tons of cooling capacity, 890,000 lb/hr of steam capacity, 48 MW of CHP electric generating capacity, and 16 MW of standby generating capacity.  TECO serves chilled water and steam to 45 buildings in the Texas Medical Center and 19.3 million square feet of space through over 7 miles of distribution piping.
